My family and I will be participating again this year in the March of Dimes- WalkAmerica March for Babies in honor of our preemie Brittan. This March helps raise much needed funds to fight premature birth. This event is very dear to me as I think there is a huge lack of information given to mothers on what things may cause a baby to be born premature.
Below is a special message from the March of Dimes Organization:
“Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies' lives. The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.”
