Today we went and did the Walk to Remember for my Utah Share group. It is a gathering that included a brief memorial service, musical number, walk, and balloon release for families who have suffered a loss of a baby. This walk means so much to us as it is the one thing a year we get to do for Brittan. At the end of the program they do a balloon release and say each babies name- when your babies name is called you let go of your balloon. I can not tell you how touching, tender and monumental it is to see a balloon for each of these babies flying high in the sky. We do this walk not only for my son Brittan but for my cousin Sandy's little Jett William Whitaker. This year there were a couple hundred people there. This walk helps many families cope and feel that their little baby will never be forgotten. Brittan Charles Potter was born May 25th, 2006.

Balloons flying high in the sky!
"The lord takes many away, even in infancy, that they may escape the envy of man, and the sorrows and evils of this present world; they were to pure, to lovely, to live on this earth; therefore, if rightly considered, instead of mourning we have reason to rejoice as they are delivered from evil, and soon we shall have them again. Oh I'm bawling. Love you baby Brittan ! Jess you are so strong. huggs. z
What a great way to honor your little guy. We remember our little one on his birthday. We take cupcakes to the cemetary, talk about what we think he would be like and then we each release a balloon. The kids think Braxton is gathering all of the balloons up in heaven.
